Cari amici,
siamo di nuovo arrivati alla fine di un altro anno, questo 2024 che ci ha accompagnato lasciando, almeno in me, una traccia che difficilmente potrà essere cancellata. Mi auguro che il 2025 possa avere quella spinta proattiva e felice che serve a tanti.
Quella che avete in mano è la terza puntata di questo progetto natalizio nato nel 2022: guest dell'occasione è Irene Longo, tatuatrice marchigiana dal mood romantico e minimalista. Con lei volevo scombinare un po' le carte in tavola, tanto che, come avrete modo di vedere, la copia numero 1 della sua illustrazione non è stata stampata ma campeggia felice sul mio braccio, come attestato di stima per il lavoro di Irene e volontà di sottolineare come anche il tatuaggio sia una valida e serena forma di espressione artistica.
Il filo conduttore rimane l'ospitalità, così come la scelta del monocromo caratterizza ancora il nostro percorso artistico. Quest'anno abbiamo optato per il nero - o più precisamente per una delicata diluizione di grigi - che richiama il tratto a matita tanto caro a Irene nelle sue opere.

Dear friends,
we have once again come to the end of another year, this 2024 that has accompanied us, leaving, at least in me, a trace that can hardly be erased. I hope that 2025 will have that proactive and happy drive that so many need.
What you have in your hands is the third instalment of this Christmas project born in 2022: guest of the occasion is Irene Longo, a tattoo artist from the Marche region with a romantic and minimalist mood. I wanted to shake things up a bit with her, so much so that, as you will see, copy number 1 of her illustration has not been printed but stands happily on my arm, as a token of appreciation for Irene's work and a desire to emphasise how tattooing is also a valid and serene form of artistic expression.
The common thread remains hospitality, just as the choice of monochrome still characterises our artistic journey. This year we opted for black - or more precisely for a delicate grey dilution - which recalls the pencil stroke so dear to Irene in her works.

Irene Longo
Classe 1997, è nata e cresciuta nelle Marche, ad Osimo. Dopo la laurea all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata come illustratrice e fumettista, si trasferisce a Torino, dove inizia la carriera da tatuatrice.
Da quattro anni trasferisce sulla pelle delle persone disegni dal sapore nostalgico, che ricordano i tratti delicati di una matita, creando connessioni tra illustrazione e memoria.

Class 1997, she was born and raised in the Marche region, in Osimo. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata as an illustrator and cartoonist, she moved to Turin, where she began her career as a tattoo artist.
For the past four years, she has been transferring drawings with a nostalgic flavour onto people's skin, reminiscent of the delicate strokes of a pencil, creating connections between illustration and memory.
